At Golden Oldies Hit Radio - POWER101 in the Exeter/Devon region of South West England, Sean Martin - Director of Business Development, Talk Productions Ltd. (POWER101's parent company) - has his hands in nearly every aspect of operations. From programming to presenting, paying the bills to tweaking the tech, Sean is involved. So when it came time to upgrade from analog to digital, he was the man to find the right gear for the job.

Equipment Maker George Marti Passes		Found in the Attic: OS-8/U Oscilloscope
Marti. Any broadcaster of a certain age knows the name. In fact, George Marti’s gear was so universally used for remote broadcasts that his surname took on a meaning of its own; broadcasters would talk of “doing a Marti” for live remotes. The man behind the tech passed away earlier this week at 95. Learn about the industry legend's remarkable contributions to our industry in Radio World.		An oscilloscope is an instrument that allows observation of signal voltages or sound waves. Though initially found almost exclusively in research labs, it was for their use with sound waves that they eventually made their way into radio and TV repair shops.
