The Telos Alliance Hams it Up

Broadcast Pros find Enjoyment in Amateur Radio

Ham Operator ParkingBroadcast engineers are the type of people who like to experiment with technology, so it's likely no surprise that many of them can be found in front of radio equipment even when they're not on the job. Amateur Radio is a frequent outlet for the broadcast engineer's insatiable curiosity.

The crew at The Telos Alliance is no exception to this rule. Ted Alexander, Kirk Harnack and Greg Shay have each spent time as a broadcast or electrical engineer, but each have a passion for amateur radio. Ted, Kirk and Greg tell us how they got into amateur radio, and offer their perspectives on the hobby.

Juan Punyed, Telos Alliance Director of Sales for Latin America and Canada, tells produ.com of the AoIP concerns of broadcasters in Mexico (English / Spanish). We're working to meet those needs - like translating the Axia iQ manual to Spanish.
