Linear Acoustic AMS Authoring and Monitoring System is a comprehensive solution for real-time authoring, rendering, and monitoring of advanced audio programs for the ATSC 3.0 Digital Television System. The audio system in ATSC 3.0 provides listeners with a personalized, immersive audio experience using Next Generation Audio (NGA) technologies, including MPEG-H. AMS simultaneously delivers advanced audio for ATSC 3.0 broadcasts and 5.1-/2-ch audio for ATSC 1.0 broadcasts.
Linear Acoustic real-time processors such as AERO.8000, AERO.100, AERO.2000, and AERO.10 sit in the final transmission or distribution path where they effectively control unwanted loudness shifts and ensure compliance with ATSC A/85 and EBU R128 standards. In doing so, the control and configuration software package NF Remote provides control and monitoring of all system settings, processing and coding parameters, plus extensive metering of signal presence, processing and coding activity and audio loudness. System status reports physical I/O details along with system, power supply and environmental health. The remote application also delivers remote audio, including 5.1 channels, to the user so that signal quality can be auditioned anywhere network bandwidth permits.
In the world of AoIP, simple confidence monitoring can be achieved using a new set of tools that no longer require extensive cabling of baseband audio to each rackmount monitoring device. The Axia xSelector is a 1RU rackmount Livewire+ AES67 monitor that sits on the AoIP network and provides instant source selection of any available stream to headphones or connected speakers. Comprehensive software tools like Axia iPlay, iProbe and also via the Pathfinder Panel Creator utility, enable the user to select and monitor AoIP streams from their desktop computer or connected Windows device. Pathfinder also gives the user the power to build their own dedicated ‘Soft’ confidence monitor panels, complete with dBFS scale bargraphs, source selector buttons and in-built routing control over connected Livewire+ AES67 devices.
AMS Authoring & Monitoring System
Linear Acoustic AMS Authoring & Monitoring System is a comprehensive solution for real-time authoring, rendering, and monitoring of advanced audio programs for the ATSC 3.0 Digital Television System. Features ATSC 3.0 compliant real-time rendering, and monitoring of immersive 3D audio using Next Generation Audio (NGA) technologies including MPEG-H. Simultaneously outputs both ATSC 3.0 immersive 3D audio and 5.1 and 2-channel audio for HD and SD channels.
Linear Acoustic AERO.10 is a loudness management platform for PCM audio, hosting one AEROMAX AMX audio processing instance. Supports 8 audio pairs via SDI I/O, 4 pairs via AES, and one 2-channel signal via balanced analog I/O. Linear Acoustic AERO.8000 is a 1RU loudness management platform capable of hosting up to eight AEROMAX AMX audio processing instances via a future proof Livewire+ AES67 AoIP interface. Dolby® Digital/Dolby Digital Plus transcoding as well as support for watermark encoders (including Nielsen N2, N6, and CBET) can be added as options. Axia xSelector Router Selector Node
Much more than just a router selector, Axia xSelector combines the routing functions of an XY router control panel with the audio outputs of a Telos Alliance xNode AoIP interface. Select sources from the Axia network and send them to the built-in audio output; use input for convenient on-the-fly connection of audio devices to the network. In addition to analog, AES3 and headphone outputs, xSelector also features one analog input and one AES3 input — ideal for production or news studios where operators both create and consume audio streams. High-resolution OLED screen provides scrollable list of available audio streams. Six convenient “radio buttons” can be quickly programmed for instant access to favorite sources.
